Desert Rose - Season 1

While Ishara searches for her father, she discovers a link that takes her into the traditional Nama world. Meanwhile, Van As sends out another thug, who ends up in a violent showdown with Eben.

Rosie's funeral draws the community together, but when Freddy doesn't show up, a heartbroken Mack travels to find and confront Freddy. Hugo, one of Van As's thugs, threatens Jana and Eben.

Williams investigates Thorne's death and finds a link back to Jana. Meanwhile, Lucy has a secret rendezvous with Gus, who eventually unravels at a barbecue and exposes his affection for her.

When Hugo tries to get away with Lucy, he is thwarted by Piet and Freddy, leading to a violent encounter. Meanwhile, Eben meets a young man who will end up being the key to his own redemption.

Freddy performs with the band and the community celebrates. After the gig, however, Freddy is stabbed by Hugo, and the children arrive at the Nama hut to be with him as he fights for his life.
